We started the morning with snow on the ground - the first feel of winter. The weather did not keep the bands from coming out in full force. 2017 Solar Eclipse
Returning from vacation, we stopped in Whitehouse, Tennessee to enjoy the solar eclipse. While the traffic jam was a nightmare, it was worth the stop. I'll add some images to this post as I process them.
Destin - the Mega Week

Day Three - Okaloosa Island
Nothing like having the beach to yourself. Okaloosa Island is not the first choice for sun bathers, this leaves the beach open to the birds!!!

A great first day in Destin. I left my birding books at home, so I'll do my best to ID these, and will correct everything after we return home.
Swallowtail Caterpillar
Our cilantro plants have a couple swallowtail caterpillars on them. Cilantro, parsley and dill are great plants for attracting butterfly.

Received my solar filter today, so I thought I'd test it out. Sun's kinda boring? Time to practice for the solar eclipse.

What a dilemma - our tomato plant had been growing so well, but this morning it was attacked by some crazy visitors.
