Centerville Invitational 2017

We started the morning with snow on the ground - the first feel of winter. The weather did not keep the bands from coming out in full force. Thank you to Lori Sierra and the Centerville Jazz Band for having me come out and photograph. (Click on photos to enlarge - then click on the arrows to move forwards and back.) Bellbrook Marching Eagle photos to be added tomorrow.

Macro?

Not sure why I haven't been getting the macro gear out as often this summer. Here are a few shots from Cox Arboretum.

Captured this little guy (Halictid Bee)earlier in the week at Hills and Dales park in Oakwood, Ohio.

Deeds Point

Sorry - haven't been great at getting my images up on the blog the last couple weeks. here are a couple from today.

2017 Solar Eclipse

Returning from vacation, we stopped in Whitehouse, Tennessee to enjoy the solar eclipse. While the traffic jam was a nightmare, it was worth the stop. I'll add some images to this post as I process them.

Destin - the Mega Week

Here is a quick gallery of the top shots from a wonderful week exploring Destin, Florida. So far, I was able to narrow down 3500-plus shots to 82. Too many, but I had such a great time, it is hard to limit what I share.

Day Three - Okaloosa Island

Nothing like having the beach to yourself. Okaloosa Island is not the first choice for sun bathers, this leaves the beach open to the birds!!!

Day One - Destin

A great first day in Destin. I left my birding books at home, so I'll do my best to ID these, and will correct everything after we return home.

Swallowtail Caterpillar

Our cilantro plants have a couple swallowtail caterpillars on them. Cilantro, parsley and dill are great plants for attracting butterfly.

Sun and Moon

Received my solar filter today, so I thought I'd test it out. Sun's kinda boring? Time to practice for the solar eclipse.

Bye Bye Tomato Plant

What a dilemma - our tomato plant had been growing so well, but this morning it was attacked by some crazy visitors.

Golden Sunset

Driving home from Mansfield, we saw the most incredible sunset. Here are two stitched panoramic shots only a couple minutes apart.
